Buy Bees UK - Our 6 x frame Buckfast Colonies are headed by a 2024 F1 Buckfast Queen.
These nucleus colonies are made up early in the season with top quality F1 Buckfast Mated Queen Bees. We will ship these to customers in May 2025.
Our bees are exceptionally calm on the combs. If you want a beehive in your garden, these are the Welsh Nucleus colonies for you. Our British bee nucs for sale are headed by incredibly productive queens with an excellent pedigree for disease resistance and honey production. Our F1 Buckfast queens are grafted from selected F0 Breeder Queens which have to pass vigourous testing before we use them as breeding stock. We graft larvae from the F0 breeder queen frames and use these to raise strong and healthy virgin queens ready to be MATED IN WALES. We flood the Welsh mating apiary with selected F1 drone mothers from exceptional lines to ensure excellent mating and to promote high quality genetics within our Welsh F1 daughters. If you are looking for British Bees - this is the nucleus of bees for you. They are perfectly calm on the comb and produce significant honey crops year after year.
These bees are UK bred Buckfast locally mated with selected Welsh drones. They carry all of the same traits as our F1 Buckfast nucs and they are very resiliant to pests/diseases and perform exceptionally well in the UK climate.

We send the bees for sale in a used Paynes poly nuc.All bees for sale will be sent via RM Special guaranteed next day service using a ventilated screen cover to ensure they do not overheat in the post.

UK Mated Queens
All our nucleus colonies are headed by an open mated, F1 Buckfast queen. They are gentle in nature with a low swarm tendency and are capable of gathering a substantial honey crop. Our mated buckfast queens are marked for the season and arrive already in the nucleus colony. You do not need to introduce the queens once you receive your nucleus colony.
